4th of July Celebration at Disneyland

These pictures were taken on July 3rd at the gazebo by the California Disney Pier. Usually Mickey is there dressed up, but we missed him. It still made for some cute pictures with the Red and White Mickey Mouse.

For this page I got the inspiration from the Cricut Magazine. On page 37 there is an Independence Day layout done by Charity Hassel. I used ideas from that to twist it Disney style. The paper used was Doodle Bug and Coordination's.

Cuts and Sizes

6 Inch Mickey Mouse from Mickey and Friends
2 Inch Hat from Stand and Salute
3 Inch 4th of July title from Phrases

Borders - done in craft room from Mickey and Friends Cartridge.

The Quote

Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America… with hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world.” - Walt Disney

where you can find several quotes from Walt Disney about America.

I used my handwriting instead of running it through the computer which would probably look a LOT better, however I read once in a scrapbooking blog or magazine that it's better to use your own writing in your scrapbooks so that your kids/grandkids can see what your handwriting looked like. I think that's kinda neat :).

Aladdin and Jasmine at Goofy's Kitchen

Page 2

I am starting to get back into scrapbooking once again. These pictures are from a trip to Goofy's Kitchen for my brother in law, Ron's, birthday. You never know which characters you are going to run into at Goofy's and this time we ran into Aladdin and princess Jasmine!

I used the cricut to cut the title and the characters. The cartridge I used was the Disney "Dreams Come True". The sizes are the following for the cuts:

Aladdin Flying Carpet: 7" inches
Title:  2" inches
Frame: 8" inches  (which pretty much fit the 4x6 picture except for some trimming at the top.)
Heart Journal: 3 3/4" inches
Aladdin and Jasmine Hug: 7" inches
